Oath of Office 10-01-2018

 

The newest patrol and corrections officers for the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department took their oaths on October 1, 2018.

The oath of office was held in Elkhart Superior Court 2, with the officers accepting the oath from Judge Stephen Bowers.

The new officers are (pictured from right to left):

Corrections Officer Philip Danley Jr is a 2015 graduate from Penn High School.

Corrections Officer Corey McKinney Jr is a 2018 graduate from Concord High School.

Corrections Officer Jay Upton is a 1983 graduate from Goshen High School and served in the U.S Army from 1984 to 1999.

Corrections Officer Dylan Mosher is a 2018 graduate from Northridge High School.

Corrections Officer Joshua Oswald is a 2018 graduate from Goshen High School.

Correction Officer Alexzander Moore is a 2017 graduate from Penn High School and served in the Army in 2017.

Correction Officer Matthew Whelchel completed an internship with the Sheriff’s department in the spring of 2018. He is a 2018 graduate from Elkhart Central High School.

Patrol Officer Roy Clements started with the Sheriff’s Department on November 25, 2014 as a reserve officer. He will be attending ILEA in January of 2019.

Patrol Officer Isaac Troyer started as a Corrections officer with the Sheriff’s Department on January 1, 2016. He recently graduated from ILEA on September 28, 2018.

Patrol Officer Trevor Grant started as a Corrections officer with the Sheriff’s Department on November 3, of 2017. He recently graduated from ILEA on September 28, 2018.
