Indiana's New Permitless Carry Law- July 1, 2022

Starting July 1, 2022, a permit to carry a handgun in Indiana is no longer required. However, the if someone wase prohibited from carrying a handgun under the permit system, including those with felonies, that person would still be prohibited from carrying a handgun.

Permits are still available to those who want one — such as people traveling to another state that has reciprocity with Indiana.
